The most widely used combination is an affiliate program, combined with Google Adsense.

The affiliate sales market is very popular online and can also be very lucrative. If you are not familiar with it, basically you promote other people’s products on your website and earn a commission for every one that you sell. The most popular items to promote are usually physical goods such as DVD’s and books. However an ever growing market is for digital products, such as ebooks, which can bring in a lot of income.

Google Adsense is an advertising program that allows you to place targeted text link advertisements on your website and earn money every time somebody clicks on one of them. All you need to do once you are approved onto the program is paste a simple piece of code onto your website and the adverts will appear shortly.
